Installing an SSL Certificate

SSL Certificates

All OxServers hosting accounts include free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates. HTTPS keeps your visitors' data secure and improves your search engine ranking.

Automatic SSL

Once your domain's DNS is pointed to our servers, a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate is installed automatically within a few hours. You don't need to do anything.

Checking Your SSL Status

1. Log into OxPanel.
2. Go to SSL Certificates.
3. Your domain should appear with a green status.

Custom SSL Certificates

If you have purchased a commercial SSL certificate, go to OxPanel →SSL Certificates →Add SSL Certificate and paste in your certificate files.

Forcing HTTPS

To redirect all HTTP traffic to HTTPS, add the following to your .htaccess file:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
